Do you remember the first time you moved out on your own?
I packed my life into a few boxes and suitcases and threw them into the trunk of my blue Subaru Impreza. I was only making my way 30 minutes over the bridge, into my new dorm room. I laugh now because it wasn’t actually that far. But it felt big.
For a sheltered suburbanite - it was the first time I felt like I was out on my own. I drove the all familiar roads, one last time, feeling a pang of nostalgia. So much of what I knew and was familiar with, lived on these roads.
In this 90s film, our father and daughter embark with their Subaru’s on a new chapter in their lives. By the end, their journey’s are intertwined, bringing them closer through their shared experience.
